I use reclaimed hardwoods from. Old furniture, floorboards and offcuts and scrap acrylics to create beautiful laminated reversable beads.  One of which has a polka dot running all the way through and can be seen on the reverse side contrasted against the wood. 
The elastic is Seamless and all the join Is underneath the bead leaving a very comfortable necklace that's easy to get on and off and eliminates the use of metal, making it perfect from anyone worried about metal allergies.
